The Audiology and Hearing Improvement Center at Wing Memorial Hospital utilizes state-of-the-art equipment to provide adults, children and infants with a full range of audiological services, including:
- Routine audiometric testing
- Tests of middle ear function
- Site of lesion testing
- Specialized testing
- Unique services such as swim plugs, noise protectors and musician earplugs
The center also offers a comprehensive hearing aid program. Our audiological clinicians evaluate the hearing of patients with hearing loss, provide results and determine if a hearing aid is the proper treatment. The Audiology and Hearing Improvement Center has two convenient locations at Wing Medical Centers in Palmer and Ludlow.
If a hearing aid is required, the Audiology and Hearing Improvement Center offers a full range of digital hearing aids at affordable prices. Our audiologist works with several manufacturers to determine the best products for our patients. If a second hearing aid is required, the center offers a substantial discount on the purchase.
To assist area residents with understanding hearing loss, our audiology staff offers a free, one-hour instructional class on a regular basis. Several topics are covered, including:

Free monthly hearing services
The Audiology and Hearing Improvement Center (AHIC) of Wing Memorial Hospital and Medical Centers offer free monthly hearing services at our medical centers and local senior centers. The free services are provided by one of the AHIC’s highly experienced audiologists and include hearing screenings, checking for ear wax accumulation, and cleaning and checking hearing aids.
