Ketaki Patel, MD, comfortably combines the personalities of an analytical scientist with a communicative people-person, making internal medicine her perfect career. She thoroughly enjoys the combination of medicine, personal interaction, and education. She likes walking her patients through their medical conditions, as well as explaining her rationale for their treatment plans.
Dr. Patel’s personal philosophy when working with patients is to prevent medical problems before they arise. She focuses her efforts on helping her patients achieve healthy lifestyles, through positive choices regarding diet and exercise. Although she works with adult patients of all backgrounds, Dr. Patel has a special interest in women’s health.
When she’s not working, Dr. Patel tries to practice what she preaches by running and staying physically active. She spends much of her time with her family, and her two daughters, aged 8 and 11 months, keep her on her toes. In her spare time, she loves to try out new recipes, learn about other cultures, and travel. She particularly enjoys reading, and since she likes solving medical mysteries, it’s no surprise that her favorite genre is mystery novels!
