Robotic Gynecology Surgery: Know Your Options

Join UMass Memorial at a free event to learn about the benefits of robot-assisted surgery for conditions such as gynecologic cancer, fibroid removal and pelvic prolapse repair.

According to the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 600,000 women a year face a surgery that’s done using outdated methods. More than 300,000 endure overly invasive surgeries with higher risk and pain.

Today, robotic gynecologic surgery is now an option for a growing number of women. Procedures that once required open surgery and a long recovery, such as hysterectomy, can now be performed through a few tiny incisions – or no incisions at all. And recovery times are much shorter.

At the event, you’ll hear from our physicians, who are among the most experienced robotic surgeons in Massachusetts, and you’ll have the chance to test drive a da Vinci Surgical System robot.

This program is free, but reservations are required, and seating is limited. Light refreshments will be served. To register, complete the form below or call 508-334-5165.
